Yin Yoga, it’s a very meditative practice, gives us the opportunity to observe our minds; cultivating mindfulness of our feelings, emotions, sensations and mental states. We do this using various physical poses and mental contemplations which allow us to be more present and aware of what is happening in each given moment within ourselves and our surroundings.
Yin Yoga accesses the deeper layers of the body like the connective tissues and fascia.
Is a slow, gentle paced practice where poses are held for longer periods of time- in a seated or laying position-, because connective tissue responds best to a slow, steady load.
-
Meditation is the awareness that arises of paying attention intentionally on purpose to the present moment and non judgmental cultivation.
-
Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) is a holistic healing system that emphasizes the balance of body, mind, and environment through the smooth flow of vital energy, Qi (Chi). By addressing the root causes of imbalance, TCM harmonizes Yin and Yang and aligns the individual with nature, promoting overall physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being. It treats the whole person, not just the disease.
-
Anatomy is the study of the structure and organization of living beings, focusing on how the body’s parts are interconnected and function together. A holistic understanding of anatomy goes beyond just physical components, considering the dynamic relationships between the body, mind, and spirit.
